Knights Rising and the Additional School Days School Year Initiative

Legacy Middle School is an ADSY campus, which means students participate in the Additional Days School Year initiative. This program gives students extra time to build connections with their peers and teachers, develop positive routines, and prepare for a successful school year.

Through ADSY, Legacy students will begin earlier than the district start date with Knights Rising, a half-day program designed to help students feel welcomed, prepared, and ready to learn.

Knights Rising Schedule

Dates: August 3–7, 2026
Time: 7:57 AM–11:57 AM
Location: Legacy Middle School

Bus transportation will be provided during the half-day schedule, and lunch will be provided for all students.

Confirm Attendance

Parents and guardians should complete the Confirmed Attendance Form no later than July 3, 2026.

Parent Information

Please do not purchase school supplies at this time. During the first week of school, students will receive a supply template from their teachers with specific items needed.

Legacy Middle School will also follow a no-backpack policy during Knights Rising. Small crossbody bags, small purses, and Trapper Keepers are allowed. Backpacks, drawstring bags, and oversized bags are not allowed. All bags must be 8.5” x 11” x 6” or smaller.

Students needing a backpack for athletics must leave it in the locker room until the end of the school day.
